Nablopomo day eight

My daughter had a playdate with her little friend today and she wanted to bring my tablet with her.  I broke down and told her she could but she was supposed to make sure she brought it back.
We had our sleepover last night and my girls and I ended up staying up until eleven.  I think it was at almost eleven last night where I did my most recent blog post here and then I got tired and had to call it quits for the night.
I ended up waking up this morning at ten am.  It seems like I sleep later when I am at their house.  Usually my girls are playing quietly for a little while.  Then finally one of them decides to come jump on me and poke her elbows into me.  I keep trying to have her stop that as her elbows hurt.

Today, that girl who wants her refund for a perfectly fine doll, told me she couldn't send me the doll back.  I responded back stressing that if she couldn't send the doll back I can't refund her money.  She can't keep the doll and also get a refund.  It doesn't work that way.  It's different if you get someone telling you their product broke in pieces when she got it.  For that kind of thing, you have to trust that it really did break and go ahead and refund their money.

But seeing as this girl has been nit picking about a supposed speck of dust.  She can't expect to get her money back if she can't be nice and return the doll.  I gave her an example of my similiar situation with another seller that I bought a product from.  I told her I had to return his item first and then I get my refund.  I told her I expect her to respect my wishes and do the same for me.  I haven't heard back from her.  She was threatening to go to paypal or ebay if I didn't refund her immediately.  Yet, I'm thinking as a seller, I should be able to have my product back so i can inspect it before she gets her money back.

I wasn't careful and called her crazy.  I didn't realize I could get in trouble for that.  I have to be careful from now on, as I can't afford to get kicked off ebay.  It's making me some good money.

Tuesday should be busy as far as getting things in packages and mailing them.  But right now I am on vacation at my boyfriends. So I am also going to spend some time writing on my sites.  I really need to get into the swing of things.  I sometimes wish I was writing more each day.  Sometimes it just isn't possible and other days I feel as if I have out done myself.

Yesterday was one of those days.  I was able to copy a bunch of my poems from Triond and get them on Wikinut too.  So today, I was in Wikinut getting urls and checking comments people had made.  One guy said he will look at it in a little bit as he was busy writing and promoting his articles.  Many of us get so wrapped up in writing our own stuff and promoting it, that we don't stop and read other people's articles and give comments and well needed feedback.  We should always take a little time to do that too.  You can always learn from other people's writings.

You also never know when someone else has just inspired you.  We get inspired all the time.  We look at art and photography and feel emotions from what we see.  Sometimes we save pictures we like in case we ever want to use them with something.  Add some to an article.  Or maybe we might like to try to draw on one of the images for fun.

My chip addiction got the best of me tonight.  I was craving some and had to get myself some more bags of kettle chips.  And I needed some scissors so treated myself to a pink pair and bought some potato sticks.  I am going to save the cover for that one for a template for those yo yo quilts.  I saw a package of yo yo patterns in walmart over a week ago.  The potato stick cover is about the same size.  A pringles cover is a little too small.

Not that I am going to sew right away, but I might have a little fun cutting out some fabrics for the yo yo's.

My mother attempted to make a yo yo quilt when we were growing up.  I think she got about two rows sewn together and there were a few extras that she had never attached some of the others.  I always thought they were kind of cute, so I tried sewing a few many years ago before my children were born.  I did end up finally getting rid of her stuff at one point.

She had several different projects that she never completed.  she had five to seven strips finished to an afhagan that she was making.  Browns, orange rust, and a puky green.  It never got finished.

She and my nana were into macrame.  They used to make the macrame plant holders.  Remember those?  I never learned how to macrame, but they did.  My mother used to have us do lots of projects.  I remember burning the edges of greeting cards over a flame and then we learned how to modge podge them onto a piece of wood.  She used to be my Blue Bird Leader in my early grades.  She took our group every where.

Camp Ketcha in Maine used to be one of my favorite places.  My cousin Michelle was in Blue Birds too, and sometimes we would get to sleep at Camp Ketcha on a weekend.  We all got to sleep in wooden bunk beds at night.  We had a blast making shadows with our flashlights.  There was a grand room where we could all run around and play games.  There also was a black piano there that I remember playing at.  There was a nice playground and then we would do lots of outdoor routines.

We learned to cook potatoes, carrots and beans in tin foil on the makeshift fire.  We trecked through the woods and climbed up on obstacle courses.

My mother also took us to a fire station, police station, maybe behind the scenes at either MacDonald's or Burger King.

Although maybe I am getting some of it mixed up with an enrichment program I also participated in after school when I was a little older.  They took us to a lot of places too.  My mom always had us do lots of crafts with Blue Birds.  The kitchen table was often a mess of papers, glitter, little glitter gems and other little odds and ends.  The other girls probably didn't want to go home.

My mother was very active in our lives.  She was always taking us everywhere, the beach, to relatives houses and all kinds of places.  We went to the beach a lot.  We only lived one or two towns away from the ocean.  We were always piling into the car to go play at the beach.  Search for seashells, swim all day, climb on the rocks.  We had a blast.

Do you sometimes miss your childhood days?  I do, but I also would never want to go back to repeat it.  I think I wouldn't want to repeat anything.  There is no special era I would like to go back to.  Except for the era when my mom, grammy, nana, grampy, and some of my aunts and uncles were still alive.  What I wouldn't give to get that back would be absolutely priceless.  Alas, we all know that once someone is gone, they are gone forever and that time you had with them never comes back to relive itself.

You have to accept that it now remains a memory.  You can't get anything like that back.  It was their time to go and we just have to grieve, go on and accept that it was then, and this is now.

Life sometimes throws us obstacles and we just have to face them and deal with them.  I was also given a down syndrome child.  I wasn't expecting it, yet it happened and we are so much better because of him.  He is such a loveable child.  When I was in the hospital with him, I always remember a nurse saying, "You deal with the cards you get dealt with."  It really rang true and everyone should learn to accept this fact.  Somethings are just not in your cards and you have to be happy with what you have.

And for anyone who faces having a child with special needs, you learn to experience all kinds of things.  And yes, at first you thought you were taking a trip to Italy, but instead you discovered that wonderful road to Holland.  And some of your best friends end up coming from there.

My baby girl light years ago.  I probably shouldn't put too many pics of them, but this one seems harmless and beautiful and it was many years ago.

NaBloPoMo entry number two day seven

Well, I have finally made it back for a quick second post of the day.  I am going to amaze myself that I am doing this.  I was back and forth for a little bit on Ebay.

I had a girl receive my Tammy doll that is vintage.  Well, she seemed to find some flaws in her face paint, that seemed so miniscule to me.  She pointed out a speck on each of the eyes and one on the lips.  Well, when I looked at the pictures, I couldn't believe how small the specks were.  I must have been blind because I couldn't even see them.  She must have a microscopic magnifying lense.

Well, I have told her I will give her a refund when she returns the doll.  I think I should have the item returned before I give a refund.  What if I was to give her a refund and then she never sent the doll back.  Anyway, I told her I would refund her but I also told her that she was nit picking and that she was crazy.  She deserves a little insult.

I mean, she's talking about microscopic stuff that can't be seen with the naked eye.  She must be delirious.

So, I've had enough of her for this evening.  I think she is wanting an immediate refund or else she is going to give me negative feedback.  I think she also needs to respect my wishes that I need to see that the item is returned before I give a refund.

A similar thing has recently happened to me where I needed a refund.  Well, I was told I had to send the item back first before I got my refund.  So I had to comply with the person's wishes and she will have to conform to my wishes too.

And then, i received emails from people who wanted to know how much something cost to ship to Russia.  I responded and said I am not going to bother, as you didn't even begin to reach my reserve price of $300.  Here I am thinking, "Nobody is going to get a $300 antique doll for $23 bucks.  I would have to be nuts to let someone have a deal like that.

So, I packaged up a second Tammy doll to someone else who won her.  I put a note in letting her know what the other girl complained about and that I hope that this other buyer isn't going to do the same thing.

So as I got kind of fed up with Ebay for a little bit, I began to go to Triond and Wikinut.  I learned that both sites will let you publish the same stuff so that you can maximize your revenue on your writings.  So I went into Triond and started copying all my poetry publications and added them to Wikinut.  I think I did about thirteen of them and then I wrote a few extra articles at Wikinut.   The only thing I don't like as much is that Wikinut makes you wait a little longer before your stuff is published.

Then I went back to Triond and published a bunch more recipes and a few poems.

A little while ago, I also got a message from Wizzley, so I decided to go there and publish a few things.  It had been a while since I had been to Wizzlely so I knew that I was due to come back.

Well, that's it for tonight.  I'll come back tomorrow and link you to a bunch of my other stuff.  I'm about ready to call it a night and find myself a pillow.

I'm not sure what type of dolls these are, but they are along the lines of Bratz dolls and My Scene.  The modern dolls.

NaBloPoMo Day Seven

Another exciting day of NaBloPoMo.  I am happy that I am writing here a little earlier than expected.  It is early afternoon and I am at my kids house for a sleep over tonight.
I woke up at seven am this morning. I like waking up early.  Yesterday, I didn't set my alarm and ended up sleeping until almost nine am.  I guess I needed it.  I was just thankful that I didn't sleep until ten or eleven.  Once in a great while that happens.  It is then that you feel that your day got wasted when you wake up and it is almost noon.

Seven am is cool, then you have all day to do your thing.  I got up, collected my stuff, got dressed and fed my cats extra food and cleaned their litter box.  I'm going to be gone for a few days, so I wanted to make sure that they have extra.

I did a little shopping at our local Goodwill and a children's used store, Once Upon a Child.  I went to look for stuff to sell on ebay.  I found some unopened toys that I am going to list.  One is a baby doll, another is a Liv doll new in box and a fairy puzzle book, all inexpensive, so if they don't sell, I am not out much.  Then at Goodwill, I found a few beanie babies, a few books, and some decorative wall hangings that could also pass as coasters, and then I found four webkinz for .99 cents each.  My girls got those today.

When I arrived at my kids house, I was surprised that nobody was up.  It was dark and I was the only one up.  My sixteen year old son had some of his friends over and they all were sleeping.

I then proceeded to make some coffee and get settled in looking at my ebay stuff that is selling.  I've got to refund someone for a broken product.  So was bumming about that.  From now on, I will have to make sure anything breakable is bubble wrapped.

Another girl was complaining about a vintage tammy doll having bad face paint.  Which she definitely did not.  She sent me a picture and squared off the markings, which when I looked at it, I couldn't believe it.  There was nothing there to be complaining about.  She was complaining about a possible pindot mark on the black part of an eyeball.  Insane so I told her she was complaining about something so miniscule.  I am not going to refund her any money.  She has a perfectly fine doll in her hands now.  I'm a little ticked that she has the galls to complain about pindot flaws that are not even noticable.  When I looked at the picture, I could see no flaw.  She is crazy.

Some people just like to knit pick to see if they can get a great product and also get their money back and get something for free.   People shouldn't harp on the really tiny things.  What do they expect a perfect thing with no flaw whatsoever?

There is no such thing as a perfect world.  Our world isn't perfect and it is full of people who just want to get things for practically nothing and still expect to get top product for their dollar.

If she really wants her money back, I'm thinking I will expect her to ship my doll back.  She can't have her money back and expect to keep the doll.  It doesn't work that way.

I spent part of the morning packaging up eleven things that needed to be shipped out.  And I am waiting for payment for about ten items.  I spent a little time checking on auctions that are going to be done later today and tomorrow.  Right now, I can't list anything else, as I have met my limit.

I think I will write the details of some of the things I do want to sell, as in a few days I will be able to list more stuff.  I want to list the stuff I bought last night and see if I can make my money back on them.  I can hardly wait for yardsale season when I can find more stuff to sell and pay inexpensive prices for them.

Well, right about now, the month is still new.  We are seven days into the new year and things are still tender and fresh.  We are looking forward to new found happiness in our daily lives.  Write more?  I sure hope so.  I am hoping that I can write a lot today.  I will be waiting with baited breath to see if I can write more than one post here today.  The day is young, so the possibility is still there.

Last night, I had a daughter do a hostile take over of my computer so I had to cut my evening short on writing.  But I had managed to write about five or six recipes for Triond before she went on to go to You Tube and webkinz stuff.

I was also surprised by a recent email from Hubpages.  They were notifying me that I had reached the $50 payout and they wanted to send me my money.  I was really surprised to see that and was also wondering how on earth I had managed to reach the payout.  As I was banned from the site and all my stuff had been taken down.  I sent them an email as they had also said, "Happy Hubbing."  I was suddenly thinking, "Huh?  Am I okay to come back and write more hubs?  I sent them an email to see what was going on.  As far as I know, I am still banned from the site.  I think I can go in and read hubs and comment on them, but that is it.  I know I can't write anything in the forums and I'm sure I can't create new hubs.

And I also got an email from Triond saying that my .67 cents will be deposited on the tenth of this month.  Hooray.67 cents richer!  Ha ha.

I think the trick with succeeding on these sites is that you have to keep yourself active and keep writing all the time.  The more articles you write, the better your chances.  So, I am determined to write a lot more.  I want to see if you can actually earn a passive income.  I have yet to see it happen to me, but I have heard of so many professional bloggers that it can be done.  It takes a lot of hard work, and good quality writing.

We have just finished one of the Pirates of the Carribean movies.  They are okay.  I watched Friends with Benefits last night.  That was kind of cute.  I half watched some of it as I was engrossed in one of my people magazines.  I am going to list those after too.  Some people like to collect the back issues.  And usually once I am done reading, I am done.

We've got some good cleanup to do later today.  The living room is a mess again and they will need to sleep on the floor.  Mom always gets the couch.  A few days ago, she wanted me to pick her up, but I told her I had a bad back.  Isn't that the way of things when we get older, suddenly we have pains and wonder why they came about.  My daughter proceeded to tell me that it happens to Grandma too.

Yesterday, my down syndrome child got driven home in one of the guys cars instead of the bus.  Jake didn't want to get out of the car.  He just kept sitting there.  He is really big and strong, so he is too hard for me to move him.  He really needs two guys to persuade him to get out of the car.  This guy, Phil kept trying to get him out and I could clearly see he wasn't making any progress.  Then one of the other guys that works with my son, came over and sat in the car with him to coax him into coming out.  And as Phil was wrestling with him, Jake started laughing and kept saying, "Phil."

They finally somehow got him out and when he came inside, he got to do high five to Phil for doing a good job getting out. We were like, "You're home, buddy.  Come on out so you can watch one of your movies."

Today, he was laughing about it and he got me laughing too.  He does that.  Sometimes he just does not want to get out of the car and he is solid as a rock.  He will get out right away for his dad.  When he sees him, he knows he has got to move.

I've got one daughter at the theater right now watching Chipwrecked.  The other daughter is waiting for a playdate with her friend tomorrow.  She is using my tablet right now to photograph her webkinz.

And I think we have just had our first soda spill in the new year.  New beginnings of spilling things.  Who can actually say they can survive the whole year without spilling anything?  Can you survive the whole year without having any kind of accident?  Spilling the jelly jars, dropping food on the floor, spilling chips, etc...  And haven't we all tossed something in the trash and it misses and gets pizza sauce on the floor.  We spill, we clean up.  Accidents happen every single year.  We can't escape it.  And if you have kids, expect it to happen often.

And already today, my daughter has misplaced her new memory card.  We also can't escape misplacing things.

I once left my car keys in my garden overnight.  I was glad that I found it.  Suddenly, the next day I remembered I had placed them in the garden, as I didn't have any pockets with my leggings.

Maybe before I head to my boyfriend's house tomorrow, I will go back to my apartment and pick up some of my other recipes.  I opened up a recipe box that I hadn't looked at in a long time.  I discovered all kinds of index cards where I had written down recipes.  I will retrieve them and publish some more on Triond.

I also found my Aunt Harriet's awesome lasagna recipe.  She used to make it special for my family at Christmas and during the summertime when we visited her camp.

NaBloPoMo Again

I have had a crazy few days and didn't get to NaBlopoMo when I really wanted to. Ebay got me sidetracked and then I listed some free furniture on craigslist.  Well, three of the items got taken and I'm down to getting rid of an armoire that has some missing drawers in the bottom.  Someone could probably fix it and build drawers for it.

Someone came for my bookshelf the first night and he saw my bengal cat.  I told him I needed to get rid of him and one of my other cats.  I have four and my boyfriend has two.  And I have been thinking of getting rid of two of them for a while.  It is hard to get rid of pets.

Well, he immediately said that he knew someone who would want the bengal and he could foster the other cat until he could find a place for him.

So the next day he came to pick them up.  I blocked off three of my rooms so that they would have less places to escape to.  It took us a few minutes to grab my Bengal Biscuit.  Then he went in the guy's crate very easy.  He wanted to put the other one in the same one, but we couldn't find him.  Piper wasn't anywhere to be found.  Finally after looking under the couch for him, I realized he was hiding behind the fridge.

The guy had to come back for him later.  While he was gone I got Piper in my crate and left for the kids house.  When I got back to my house later, he had busted out and was in the kitchen.  I managed to catch him and put him in the crate.  I had to hold the door on him as it was busted.  My daughter later told me that it was broken.

The guy came back and we tried to put him into his crate.  Piper put up a big fight and scratched me really bad and then high tailed it into the kitchen and hid in the cupboard.  I tried to tackle him as he came out and I got scratched some more.  Then he disappeared under the couch.

The guy decided to go to the grocery store for fifteen minutes and get the kitty litter.  While he was gone, I found him under the couch and brought him into the kitchen for some food and into the guy's crate.  He finally was contained.

The guy came back and took him home.
So last night it was just my girl cats and I.  It was a little weird not having all four today, but I will get used to it.

I'm having one of those days today.  Just a little out of sorts.  It only happens once in a while.  Everyone gets days where things maybe don't go as planned and you just have to deal with it and let it slide or roll off.

I had to take a package to the post office today to get it weighed to go to France.  It was going to cost $45.50 so I'm not sure if she will bid on it.  I have to be careful mailing packages out of the country.  I don't want to lose money on shipping costs.

I got surprised by one that went to Spain.  It cost me $43 and she only paid $13.25 shipping.  She got a good deal and I'm chocking it up as a mistake learned.

I have been playing around with some of those Martha Stewart paper punches.  I have one that does a lace pattern and another one that punches out little hearts.  Last night I had some fun cutting out some paper rose petals that I drew on some decorative paper.  I haven't figured out how I am going to glue them together yet.  I just tried pinching one petal to give it a 3-D effect.  It looked neat.
Maybe tonight I will play with it some more.  It could be really pretty when finished.  Paper roses.
Maybe I should spray some perfume on them.

It might be fun to make some petals and write a poem of love on it.  And then add it to a Valentines Day gift.  That is around the corner.  Valentines Day is always lots of fun and this year I get to share it with my boyfriend.

Later I might do some more sketches for the paper dolls.  That is always fun.  I did a bunch of outlines for them.

So how have your new beginnings been going?  I hope really well.

I guess my new beginnings will be life without four cats, which is going to be nice.  I won't have to use up the litter as fast with just two cats.  Cool.

Last night a guy came to look at my couch.  i really didn't have it listed as I am still using it.  When he called I was like suddenly thinking of getting rid of it.  I was thinking that there are wears and tears from my cats, so yes, I could do without it and sit in my rocking chairs

When he came last night it was really funny.  Two big guys come in to get a couch.  He stood there and took one look at it and then said, "The flowers."  The other guy started laughing.

Then I said, "I guess you could get a five six yard man fabric."  I was laughing.  Then the other guy had had enough and left.  Then he was just standing there.

"I can't do the flowers."  It was really funny.  I'm surprised though that he didn't bother to ask me the pattern over the phone.  Moron.  Ha ha.  It really made my day.

Some days are great when something happens that tickles your funny bone.  Sometimes I find myself laughing to myself in the car afterwards.

I'm glad he didn't take the couch as I still use it.  It's nice to be able to lie down with a blanket and watch a movie.  Or fall asleep on a dull one.  And then my cats sleep on the blanket with me.  That way, they don't claw me.

I bought some burb clothes a few days ago to make some little patchwork patterns on sometime.  That could be fun for my kids to have some day and I can keep some at my place to use when my grand kids come over.  That still is far away.

Biscuit was the one on the bottom.  He was a really pretty cat and I will miss him too.  He was a little skittish sometimes.  But he was also a lap cat.
The gray one above is Luna.  She is my siamese cat.  She is really affectionate.  She will give little kisses and reach up for hugs.
I will miss Piper my Egyptian mau.  He was one of those licky cats.  But sometimes when I would be sleeping I would wish that he would stop.  But he was an up close and personal.  Oh well.

I happen to love my two female cats.  The other one, Ella is a siamese tortie point.  I paid less for them, but they happen to be my favorites.  Ella tends to be a jumpy cat, especially in the morning.  She will be walking all over me, as she is probably anxious to get her food.
At least I have lots of pictures of my other cats.

In the beginning I had two bengals and one died after a month.  He had a bad heart.  Then I replaced him with another cat, Ruben, who liked to poop in my tub.  I got rid of him.  And then replaced him later with Piper.

My girls used to love to come over when they were younger to play with the kittens.  They would mix up their food with water and make a little concoction for them.  My ten year old used to get water all over the floor and then I found myself cleaning my floors.

That is what I was also doing in the last few days as the missing furniture is gone and I can get my floors looking better.  That is one of the drawbacks of having cats, is the fur you find everywhere.  Maybe it won't be so bad with less cats.

NaBloPoMo Day 2 More Beginnings

I wanted to arrive here earlier today, but got sidetracked.  Travelled on the road for an hour and a half this morning, did some errands and arrived at the kids house to spend the day.  This is their last hurrah before school starts again tomorrow.

So as NaBloPoMo begins, so is also a new beginning of the start of a new season of school.  Which also warns us that it will be almost done in a shy five and a half months.  We all know that it arrives so much quicker than we can realize.  Before we know it, another school year has come and gone and our kids will be one grade ahead as soon as summer hits.

Upon arriving at their house, the first thing I set out to do was tackle my bills and get them in tomorrow's mail, go to the bank to deposit money.  All these important things that need to be done.  Tomorrow I need to call my doctor and see what she wanted.  They were closed over the weekend and I have been wondering what it was about.  I'm guessing it's about an appointment that I don't need to end up going to.  So I need to address that situtation bright and early.

Don't we wish we didn't have to take care of bills?  Yuck.  But they keep coming every month.  There's no new beginning to that, unless you can say "That bill is done and no more."  I love when that happens.

And I spied that they had made pizza today, so that's what I had for lunch.  Then I had some of my leftovers for supper.  I don't like eating leftovers too many days in a row.  I often find I throw out as I want something new.  Although with Christmas time it is always great to keep eating potatoes, turkey and gravy for several days.

I just threw out my Cornflake wreaths today.  They formed a big mound and stuck together.  Gone!

New beginnings also mean new foods to hunger over.  I'm craving rice and shall soon be concocting something.

I spend a good amount of time with Ebay today.  Printed out my labels for shipping.  I still have to print a few more that just finished and someone was just asking if I could lower my price on something so she could do a buy it now.  I told her I'm good with that, so maybe I've just made a sale.

Then I spent a little time listing some antique doll heads and some really expensive ones.  One was a gorgeous Rotraut Schrott doll head and bust.  When she is all finished and she is a one of a kind.  Her originals go for $2000 dollars or more now.  She was an artist from Germany who did one of a kind dolls.  Very elaborate.  Beautiful dolls.

I'd like to start the new year with more space in my house.  I'm anticipating moving someday and want to leave my apartment with less stuff.  I would rather have all the space in the world for my paperdolls and my writings.  That stuff means a lot more to me.

I hope everybodys new beginnings are starting off on a good upwards slant.  Don't you hate it when your new year starts off with some set backs?

Mine has done that a bit today.  I went to pay for my shipping label for a woman from Spain.  Well of course her shipping ended being $30 more than what she paid me for shipping.  I'm upset about that and am hoping she will reimburse me the difference.  She has practically gotten something for nothing and I am out $30 dollars.  I hate when people win my auctions and they are from another country.  When they are in the states they get the basic rates.  I will learn from now on to make sure I really know exactly what it is going to cost them.  I can't keep losing money on that stuff.

I've also learned to lower my bids on ebay.  With a lower starting bid, you are guarunteed more possible bidding on stuff.  My boyfriend said that some auctions will do very well and some I will lose on, but it should even out.

Sometime this month, I need to go back to wordpress and work on the next chapters of my novels.  I've been letting them slide for a few weeks.

So even with new beginnings here now, we all must set our schedules and agendas and keep working on the projects that we started.  After all we want to say that we have reached completion.

I was happy, last night I wasn't so sleepy and got to do some sketching of paperdolls in my sketch book.  I want to keep up with that too.  I find when I haven't done it for a long time, I get rusty.

I also found out I have to return an older model of a Wacom tablet that I bought.  It's not working on my pc.  So that is getting returned tomorrow and he will give me my money back.

This is another thing about the new Year.  Everyone wants to not repeat money mistakes.  Nobody cares very much about returning things, but if it means getting your money back and being able to get something else, so be it.  Now, after returning that, I'm looking at listing all my Wacom stylus sets that I have accumulated.  They are in excellent shape and I don't have the right stuff to get them going.  Oh well.  I did get this cute little size tablet that does work and it is kind of neat.  It's going to take some getting used to as I'm not used to drawing on the computer.

I bought a few burp clothes or cloth diapers today, that I'm going to sew some pretty fabrics to sometime and when my kids have babies they can use the special burp clothes.  I told my daughter how that was what her brother used to wear when he was a baby.  She tossed my burp cloth in my face.  I laughed, and said this one is clean.  Ha ha.

Welcome to NaBloPoMo January 2012

Happy New Year!  2012!What a way to enter the new year.

How was your new year?  I practically slept my way into mine.  I was sleeping on the couch for a while, and then I got woken up at midnight by my boyfriend.  Then I fell back asleep while he spent several hours doing sudoku puzzles.

Now, it is the new year which obviously means new beginnings.  Yay!  A new start to our fresh slate.  How will we fill it is yet to be determined.  Did anyone make new years resolutions last night?  I didn't but probably should have.  Number one would probably be to try exercising a little more.  Even just walking is great.  Should do that.

The best way to start the new year for families is introducing the new years baby into the family.  I'm sure last night was the fresh start for many new babies.  Welcome to the big wide world.

Some of our young people are probably nursing a hangover this morning.  Visiting the porcelain goddess?  Perhaps.

Yes, the ball dropped.  Big deal.  To some of us, it is just another moment in time.  But, I'm not sure if I would want to be in the middle of a big hollering crowd of people at Times Square.  For some people that is probably very exciting, but I would rather be in the comforts of home and snacking.

I was going to do some sketching last night but sleep took over.  I haven't sketched in a while.  So maybe this month of NaBloPoMo, I can also force myself to NaBloPoMo in my sketchbook too.  That would be a big feat.

Well, the first of the year means a lot to all of us.  How do you want to start it off.  Today is a day to relax with family, friends and loved ones.  Although some of the stores are also open today.  People want to make money and some of us want to spend it.  Typical.

I've already written a new post to my Mommie Dearest blog and now am finding myself here.  After all, now it is January and my NaBloPoMo has begun.   This should be fun to see how far I can push my boundaries this month.

A whole new month of new beginnings of all kinds.  Exhilarating!  The thoughts are absolutely endless.  Where one goes when one writes is amazing.  We think to ourselves in this new beginning.  How am I going to come up with something daily for NaBloPoMo?  What if I can't think of anything?

We all know this isn't true.  Once we set the right side of our brains in motion, the colors and words are endless.  We do tend to lead a very colorful life, don't we?  I would rather have it filled with brilliance of colors than in black and white.

My rainbow never ends and I can never find the pot of gold.  That's because my invisible gold has been with me along the way, whether I have seen it or not.  That's why nobody can find the end.  We're that Leprechaun.  Except, we don't possess their long beards.

A New Year usually means that we have a whole year not to make the same mistakes again.  We don't want to repeat ourselves all over again.

And put it in the past.  We want a new year of happiness to go with it.  365 more days of pure bliss.  Lets just hope that the end of the world isn't coming this year.

So, set your mood and go with the flow of a new month of unknowns.  Things to be discovered about ourselves.  New joys, new events and new happiness to be revealed.
